Digital Currency & Stablecoin Infrastructure

At a glance

What it is: Sign CBDC on Hyperledger Fabric-X for private payments, and sovereign smart contracts on a public Layer 1 for transparent ones. Money that carries its purpose.

For residents: Payments that settle in seconds, with amounts and identities hidden from everyone without a lawful role, and a design for offline payments when the network is down.

The central bank controls: Issuance, the approved policy templates, who joins the ledger, and every bridge to other systems.

Proof point: The reference architecture was refined through the design and engineering of a national CBDC program.

Most public money still moves through batch files, correspondent chains, and end-of-day reconciliation, so an approved benefit can take days to reach a resident, and a ministry learns where a subsidy went only after the program ends. Digital money can change that, but early blockchain designs made a central bank choose between a transparent ledger that exposes every citizen’s payments and a private one closed to supervisors and global markets.

Our view is that a government should not have to make that choice. Sovereign money should settle in seconds, keep each payment’s amounts and parties private from anyone without a role in it, stay under central bank authority, and carry the rules of the program that pays it. We offer two ledger paths for it: a transparent one on a public Layer 1 and a private one in Sign CBDC. The benefits, salaries, and asset payments that the other blocks deliver settle on them. Banks onboard their customers under their own know-your-customer (KYC) rules, so the currency works whether or not residents already hold a digital identity; where they do, a national digital identity makes onboarding, limits, and targeted payments simpler.
